Sometimes, you simply don't want Google or the NSA to read what's in
your email. You and your friends can encode your messages using this
form, cut-n-paste them into your emails, and your friends can then
use this same form to decode the message you sent. Awkward? Most
certainly, but that's the price we pay for internet privacy these
days.
After converting extended ASCII characters (eg - smartquotes) to
their closest 7-bit mapping, each message is encrypted multiple
times from randomly selected set of code sequences kept within the
script for this form, so the message can only be decoded using this
same form. The directions for decoding are passed along in the
encoded message, awaiting return to the same script for decoding.
Warning: The encryption "key" is in essence this URL,
so convey it separately by phone.
