Note:  These numbers are adjusted for inflation. In current dollars, real estate taxes for the 'typical' Fairfax County household have increased 53 percent or $1273 (from $2407 in FY2000 to $3680 in FY2004) in the four years since the last Board of Supervisors election. These figures assume a $1.16 real estate tax rate for FY2004. The actual rate for FY2003 is $1.21.
