Fairfax County non-school inflation-adjusted spending per resident has increased over 70 percent over the past 25 years. County non-school staff increased more than twice as fast as county population between 1975 and 1991. The County refuses to disclose why County staff increased faster than population between 1975 and 1991 and what agencies received the extra staffing.
