In current dollars, real estate taxes for the 'typical' Fairfax County household will have increased nearly $1000 since Kate Hanley was re-elected chairman in 1999. Also, this graph was made when the supervisors were planning on a $1.23 tax rate. In the adopted budget, the supervisors set the tax rate at a $1.21. See updated graph.
